The Washington Nationals still have the best ERA in the major leagues, but their pitching staff is going through a rough stretch.  But Gio Gonzalez can change all that.  Pitching on the road hasn't been an issue for Gonzalez (10-3, 2.78 ERA), who is 6-1 with a 3.13 ERA in eight starts outside the nation's capital,

The Orioles have lost eight of 11, during which they're hitting .201 and averaging 2.5 runs.
In an effort to spark the offense, they acquired Thome from Philadelphia for two minor leaguers Saturday.  Baltimore is scheduled to send Brian Matusz (5-9, 5.24 ERA) to the mound hoping he can end a four-start losing streak. He has an 8.31 ERA in his past four outings after winning four of his previous five with a 2.87 ERA.

Key Note:
Matusz is 1-0 with a 0.64 ERA in two starts against Cleveland, striking out 14 in 14 innings.

White Sox won six of their last eight games and Gavin Floyd is 2-0, 0.00 (13.1 IP) in his last couple starts.

Liriano is 1-0, 2.29 in his last three starts and we know Minnesota lost seven of its last 11 home games, but won last two so we are banking on them keeping the stretch going and me being on the front end of this streak.

SD Padres starter KWells allowed five runs in five IP in his first '12 start. We know Colorado's Pomeranz isn't the best (0-2, 5.09 in five starts this season), but we think he is better than the other starter at a nice price.
