Why we like the Cardinals on Sunday on the RL at +100...Lets start with the obvious, Lance Lynn is having a Cy Young caliber season. We know what his overall stats are, he is also 6-2 in road games with a 2.93 road era. This number made a big jump after his loss last start in Detroit where he allowed 5 runs through 5. Expect a big bounce back start from him on Sunday as the Royals offense is struggling and they have never seen Lynn pitch against them. The Cards will be facing Jonathan Sanchez who has an 8.04 home era and a 6.43 era over his past 3 starts. Now we know that this is a small sample size but in his last two home starts, he allowed 7 runs through 8 innings of work while allowing 2 home runs, 5 walks and 7 strikeouts. He will be facing a Cards lineup that is clicking right now hitting .290+ over their last 7 games. The Cards have been successful against leftys with an 11-8 record, averaging 5.6 rpg, a .288 average and 30 home runs. A trend that we found to be very interesting was that when the when the total is set high, the Cards roll. They are 8-3 overall when the total is 9 to 9.5 and they are 6-0 on the road when the total is 9 to 9.5. The Royals are 6-14 overall with this same total and are 4-10 at home with this total. We will play on the Cards RL in this one at +100.
