<Games where there is some WIND blowing out and or there is HUMIDITY for Wednesday's games>
<Detroit at Kansas City: Wind blowing out to LCF at 12 mph, 73 degrees at gametime & 74% humidity.>
<Baltimore at Chicago White Sox: Cross wind, but blowing out to dead LF at 12 mph, 63 degrees at gametime & 60% humidity.>
<Tampa Bay at Toronto (I am NOT 100% sure if Roof will be open or closed): Wind blowing out to LF 10 mph, 50 degrees at gametime & 57% humidity.>
<The Texas Rangers are now a dominant (16-6 L/22) ROAD games dating back to last season.>
<Rangers starter Derek Holland made 1 starts vs Boston last year & that was at Fenway Park. He tossed 7 shutout innings, allowing 2 hits, walking zero & 6 K's.>
<Holland is 2-1, 2.95 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, in 3 career starts vs Boston and the current available Red Sox are just (9-59) .153 avg vs Holland, with just 2 extra base hits.>
<Red Sox starter Josh Beckett has not had very good success vs these Texas Rangers, Beckett is 1-1, 6.23 ERA, a 1.42 WHIP, in 4 starts since 2009.>
<The current Rangers are hitting .270 off Beckett, & have several extra base hits for a .774 OPS.>
<April is Beckett's highest ERA of any month since 2009 (counting this years starts too). He is 6-4, 17 starts, 5.54 ERA, and a 1.36 WHIP.>
<Texas with the clear cut edge in the bullpen, and Red Sox starter Lester did not make it out of the 3rd inning last night, while Texas sports the A.L. best bullpen so far (2.20 ERA & 0.91 WHIP) while Boston ranks 2nd to last in A.L. bullpen ERA (6.23 & sport a 1.47 WHIP too).>

i had done a bunch of browsing through the forums before settling on packages but GF def knows his baseball.. keep up the daily threads their great
<Cubs starter Matt Garza has been basically lights out in his 2 starts this season. Both starts coming at HOME for him & he is coming off a "high pitch count" of throwing 119 pitches his L/start, tossing 8 2/3 shutout innings over the Brewers, yielding just 3 hits & sports a 1.23 ERA and sickening 0.75 WHIP so far this season.>
<Garza has been hit hard by Florida since 2009, he is 1-1 in 3 starts, with a 7.07 ERA & a 2.14 WHIP.>
<Current Marlins are hitting a robust .328 vs him with several extra base hits, to sport a .974 OPS.>
<Garza struggled on the ROAD last season: 14 starts, 4.56 ERA, & 1.46 WHIP, and a batting avg against, 46 points higher than when pitching at home. This poor pitching on the ROAD trends back to his L/3 seasons too, as he is 14-20, with a 4.54 ERA & 1.36 WHIP.>
<Marlins starter Mark Buehrle has pitched 2 solid games this season, only to be 0-2 due to the Marlins struggles at the plate early on. He has walked just 2 batters in 12 1/3 IP and has had decent command of his pitches, opponents are hitting .313 off him early on.>
<September is the only month that Buehrle has worse ERA and WHIP numbers other than April since 2009. Buehrle, 17 starts, (6-8) with a 4.35 ERA & a 1.32 WHIP.>
<Buehrle has 3 starts vs the Cubs since 2009: 1-0, 2.55 ERA & 1.25 WHIP.>
<Marlins bullpen has the 4th best N.L. WHIP 1.12 and also has a decent 3.00 ERA (clearly closer Heath Bell needs to get his act together & did get a save last night.)>
<Cubs bullpen has been hideous, as they rank last in N.L. bullpen ERA 5.72 & they also sport the 3rd worse N.L. WHIP 1.62.>

Great stuff as always GF. Would you agree that a higher humidity will slow a baseball down? Also if the level is very low and the temperature is as well, those baseballs will fly further. Wind is a factor as well. I always look at the weather when handicapping Totals. GL today buddy
