And we'd like to thank Brad Pitt for the A's win last night. I watched Moneyball again yesterday afternoon. Then I saw where he and Anjolina are finally getting married. And then when I saw Johnny Damon was coming back I felt like it was an omen to add Oakland to the card. Sometimes this handicapping thing is something we can over-think. That's three straight sweeps and eight straight winners just from paying attention to what's right in front of our nose. Today we are watching TNT Classic movies, and since Ted Turner owns that station, we should have something degenerate to do in the Braves game.

Houston-Washington: I've always been a Zimmerman fan, but not at that number against one of the best clutch hitting teams this season to date. At least until last night when Houston went 0-6 w/RISP and the two teams combined for nine hits. Washington used Lidge and Clippard, so I suppose I might try to find a way to take the Houston RL since that total has come down to 7.

Cubs-Miami: Early money taking value from the home team, or at least making it more expensive. But this is Buerhle's first home start after not faring overly well against the Phillies and the Reds on the road. Cubs made two errors last night and those things tend to happen in bunches. See Boston. I might be a bit concerned that some of the Cubs have seen a lot of him from IL play over the years. Garza'a first road start, where he's actually been much worse over the years than at home. If the Fish don't go 2-10 w/RISP like last night, this one could get ugly. I think at less than -140 the Fish might actually be the play here.

Dodgers-Milwaukee: Ouch for the Dodgers bullpen forking that one over last night, but we saw that coming. Not sure how they react to finally losing to a team other than San Diego or Pittsburgh. That -170 is a little steep for me, even though I've never really been big on Capuano and love the Brewers more against LHP without Fielder in the lineup. Sooner or later Aramis will get going.  I don't like either pen, Greinke crushed last outing, so may look at the over again, and the Dodgers are perhaps live enough to look at at least on the RL if nothing else.

I gotta take the dog out to "P". More in a few................

No degenerate thoughts on the Braves game? Well this degenerate here is rolling with JJ over Dickey as I just dont see his knuckleball keepin the Brave's Bats quiet this afternoon.  JJ did get pulled in the 5th last game, so maybe he's got that shit out his system & if anything a well rested arm.  Braves are motivated & primed to win the home series......BOL Mr. Dave & GET MONEY!!!!

LOL. I WILL have degenerate thoughts on that one. Dickey is one of those pitchers that I've tried to fade time and time again over the years and been wrong. This year, I was on the under when he pitched against the Braves in NY and at least knew better than to fade him against the Phillies. No balls that day I guess. Jurrjens just hasn't been right since shutting it down last August. I want to wait and see what kind of lineup these guys put out there. Atlanta did all their damage in one inning last night, so I am leaning towards the under a little. But, we'll see what the lineup looks like. Get more money, G.

Don't waste a lot of time on the Braves game today. It's been all night and will continue through game time.

Dave correct me if I'm wrong, but seems I remember something about 100% humidity (especially the type from precipitation) enhampering knuckleballers....Isnt that right or am just dreaming that shit up?
