I am in New Orleans on Vacation but I did want to be part of these Baseball Chats. I am going to be available for this on Thursday nite at 5:30 EST which of course is not my Time Zone but that is OK. I don't really have much to say about the upcoming season except to say that it is going to be another good one. Previous posts about MLB are below. I am sure that if you do a search here, there have been a few more. Not really sure about that actually. I do plan to do more MLB Teaching as we move deeper into the season so stay tuned for that. Good question Y, and of course it is to the advantage of the Pitcher throwing from sunlight to shade. Very tough for the hitters to pick up the ball, especially breaking pitches. However, when there are shadows, there are also problems for the fielders as well looking into the sun. This does not usually figure into my personal handicapping with a full games but I have on occasion played UNDERS for the first 5 when this is the case. Overall advantage pitcher for sure..
Thanks for the answer Greg very helpful. Was also woundering if the ball park benches & bullpins have like my Cadillac heated seats or heaters for the evening games that go into the night on West Coast from the cool air flow off the ocean so players stay warm.
I do believe that that they do Y, but mostly in the larger and more luxurious Stadiums, and some bulpens even have backup cameras for the Catchers...(smile)
