Coming off a 4-2 day, +2.10 units. Both my losses were of the 5 inning variety. Today, many of my bets will focus on totals. One that I wish I could play, but won't is Kansas City. Not sure why Cleveland is even favored, given the starting pitchers, but that line has trap written all over it to me. KC's Duffy definitely the better pitcher, but I don't want to fade a home team looking to avoid the sweep. Today's plays:
A's/Yankees Under 8.5 -110 The Yankees are the AL's highest scoring team, with 245 runs in 46 games (5.3 runs/game overall and 5.7 at home), but they are in a slump now. In their last 6 games, the Yanks have scored just 16 runs and are hitting a collective .196 (35-179). Very surprising considering that 5 of the last 6 games have been at home. Today, the A's send Andrew Triggs to the mound, and he has been very sharp in his 3 road starts, going 2-0 with a 0.47 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and a .197 BAA. In other words, I expect the Yanks to stay in their slump. On the other side, the Yankees send Michael Pineada to the mound, and he has been sharp this season. He faces one of the truly low output offenses in all of baseball, so the A's shouldn't be putting too many runs up today either. I have a hard time seeing this one even get to 7 runs today.
Royals/Indians Under 8.5 -105
Angels/Marlins Under 9 +110
Rays ML -105
