Good morning my friend,
We both got the TEX W we needed last night, although it wasn't easy.
I always look forward to seeing who you're on. This moring I have time, so I hope you don't mind a few comments.
COL - for COL, Hoffman was the key piece in the Touwitski trade with TOR. Scout are drooling and say his stiff's off the charts. He has 3 pitches with plus potential (FB, slider and curve). He came back from TJ surgery, and got lit up ( 1.72 WHIP and 4.88 ERA) in 8 games (6 starts) with COL last season. His 22/18 K/BB ratio also left a lot to be desired. However, he has big time upside. As for PHIL, I like Eickhoff, but it's tough to bet PHIL now with a really bad pen. Probably a pass for me.
TB - Odorizzi is solid and TB can hit, but don't know what to make of LA's Ramirez. He has 3 QS in his 7 outings. He's allowed 3 or less runs in 5 of his 7 starts, but allowed 5 each in the other 2. If Ramirez is on this could be a tight low coring game, but if Ramirez if off TB could blow them out. TB has the beeter O but LA has the strong pen. Probabl a pass for me as well
BALT - WB I'll say this for you, you've got guts. I won't bet on Ubaldo Jimenez. I think he sucks. Of course Kyle Gibson has looked just as bad. Bupens are close and MINN hits a little better. Might consider an over 9.5 here. I lean MINN, but definitely not enough to bet
DET - I like Fulmer, but hate the DET pen. Peacock's pitched exclusively out of the HTN pen so far. The numbers are good but mostly 1-2 inning stints. As a starter, he's been very mediocre over the past 3 seasons. Both teams have good Os, but HTN has a huge edge in the pen. I might consider a 1st 5 on DET, but full game, I lean HTN because of the pen.
I haven't finished my capping yet or done any wrtie ups but Ill probably be on PITT and ARIZ in some form, and maybe CHI Cubs.
If my comments offend you, please let me know, and I'll cease and disist.
