1-2 yesterday, let's do better today:
MIN/TEX U10 -113 - Santana has been untouchable so far this season with a WHIP of 0.61 and a nearly matching ERA of 0.64. Regression is certain at some point (technically he would be regressing if he gave up 1 run tonight), but I still think he holds the Rangers in check. It's a smaller sample size for Cashner, but he's also been decent in his two starts this year as well (disclaimer last start vs Royals). Neither of these O's have been tearing the cover off the ball lately, and the Rangers bullpen has put up much better numbers over the last week (WHIP 0.71/ERA 0.64). Despite the unfavorable umpire matchup, I'll take the TWENTY mph wind blowing in from right center. Ten runs seems extremely high for this game.
Cardinals -137 - ROUGH spot here for the Jays who played last night on the West coast and probably got to their hotels in STL around 5-6 this morning with the time change. Wacha is starting to resemble his earlier form wtih three quality starts to begin the season. The Nals have quietly won 7 of the last 8, and it looks like the O is finally starting to come around. Much better spot for the rested home team here.
Braves +122 - I fired on this game last night as I thought the line would be moving (currently at +111). Both teams come into this matchup with sizeable losing streaks, but I'll ride with Teheran who has flat out owned the Mets during his career.
