BOOM!! A PERFECT 7-0 night in the MLB last night as we continue to roll!! It was a 9-1 night overall in the end -- and all for 100% FREE!! How do we top that?! Well we can't really, but let's do it again tonight....
BOSTON RED SOX (-160) AND
OVER 9 ROCKIES @ RED SOX (-120)
The Red Sox continue to roll and because they are, we continue to look to cash in on them and their red hot offense. Boston is now 13-2 in their L15 at Fenway Park and have done so by averaging 9 RPG in that span and hitting a combined .350+ as a team with over 20 HR on their home turf. They have scored 8 R or more in 10 of those games and up and down the lineup is full of hitters in the midst of some monster streaks. The Rockies are the exact opposite lately, going 1-6 ML in their L7 overall. They have been horrendous against AL teams in interleague play since 2012, now holding a 19-58 ML record in that span. They are now 5-25 ML in their L30 games played in AL ballpark. Gray is on the hill for the Rockies tonight and he wasn't sharp his last time out, allowing 9 R and 8 H in 3 1/3 innings of work against St. Louis. Roll with the BOSTON RED SOX and the OVER in tonight's meeting.......
WASHINGTON NATIONALS (-130)
St. Louis has been struggling on the mound mightily lately and we expect to cash in on that trend tonight with the Nationals offense. The pitching staff for the Cardinals has been abysmal lately, allowing 21 R in the L2 games against the Cubs, and has had an ERA in the 8's over the L10 days or so. Over the L7 games, the Cardinals have found absolutely no relief from their staff, as the starting rotation carries an 8.64 ERA in that span, while the bullpen has an equally horrendous 7.29 ERA as well in those contests. We don't expect Leake to stop the bleeding for the Cards rotation tonight, as he already faced the Nats this season and was hit well for 5 R in 7 IP in a loss back in April, in a series in which the Nationals outscored the Cardinals by a differential of 17-6. In his L6 starts against Washington, he has not performed well either, posting an 0-3 mark with a 6.47 ERA in those meetings. Washington counters with Ross and the youngster has been pitching well lately, holding a 3-0 mark and 0.86 ERA in his L3 outings heading into this one. He also pitched well in leading Washington to one of those wins in that April series, as he allowed 1 R in 6 innings of work against them. Go with the WASHINGTON NATIONALS at home for this one......
HOUSTON ASTROS (-115) AND
OVER 8 ORIOLES @ ASTROS (-115)
Baltimore has lost 3 straight games headed into today and face an uphill battle against the Astros and the re-emergence of one of their young hurlers in McCullers, who has dominated at home in his young career so far. Although 2016 has started in disappointing fashion for the youngster, there is optimism for things to get much better in the games ahead. McCullers has helped lower his ERA to his current 5.91 status with two decent outings in his L2 starts, allowing 7 R in 10 2/3 IP, but he was much better in his lone home start this season. He did lose that game, but he lasted 6 innings and allowed 2 R. As we have pointed out before, last season he was money when toeing the rubber in Houston, as he posted a 4-1 mark and 1.95 ERA in 11 starts there in 2015. McCullers dominated Baltimore in his lone start against the O's, going the distance and allowing 1 R and 4 H while striking out 11 in the win. Gausman has pitched well lately and comes in off a 1 R outing in 6 2/3 innings if work against the Angels, but that marked the 5th straight game in which he has failed to receive a decision. He has a 2.70 ERA and 1.12 WHIP in the 6 games he has started this season. Still, Houston now owns a 5-1 mark in the L6 meetings with the Orioles and we expect that to continue tonight. Roll with the HOUSTON ASTROS and the OVER in this interleague meeting.......
ATLANTA BRAVES (-125)
The Braves dropped to a measly 1-14 ML in their L15 at home, while having now posted a pathetic 2-19 ML record on their home turf in 2016 so far. They have been equally bad lately as well, going 1-3 in their L4 games while plating 5 R and going 2-for-29 with RISP in that span. Milwaukee has scored a mere 6 R themselves in their L3 games as they head into today seeking their first series sweep since last September. Why the Braves? Well they have a good young arm in Wisler on the hill today and he has pitched extremely well in May this season, going 2-1 with a 1.80 ERA in his 4 starts to open the month already. Unfortunately the Braves have only supplied the youngster with a mere 2.60 RPG in support this season and things might not be any easier for the runs to come tonight either. Peralta is 1-1 with only 3 R allowed in 22 IP through 4 starts against the franchise in his career. He is 0-5 with a 5.35 ERA in his L8 road starts however. Stick with the ATLANTA BRAVES in today's meeting.......
Best of luck to all tonight!! Let's get that money!!
