Whats up Pregame? Beginning today I'll be posting my wagers here on the forum. I handicap MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, NCAA BB & FB ( no baseball ) WNBA, Boxing*, MMA* ( * limited action ) & Nascar. I've been riding a excellent NBA & NHL playoff winning wave but MLB has not been treating me well this May after having a excellent Spring training & April. Never the less the action never stops nor do I so my wagers will be submitted daily here on the forum. Anyhow I'm looking forward to sharing my wagers and information as well as taking wagers and information from members here.
My first play today is the under 7.5 , Mets @ Nats. Both Roark and Matz have had great success so far in 2016. If both bring their A games I can't imagine this game going over 7.5 or even 5 for that matter. Looking through both of their games so far this season if you take out a few stats or games for each their numbers are incredible.
Roark has started 4 times already this season vs. the Marlins and has been hit in each game with his last start against them being his best. Verse Miami he's pitched 21.2 inn, 15 ER, 3 HR's 3K's, 3 walks , thats a 6.37 ERA. In his other 5 starts he's pitched very well with 34.1 inn, 3ER ( 0.79 ERA) 0 HR's, 36K's 12 walks. Thats very impressive. Going up today against the Mets who average 8.98 K's per game and 9.46 on the road this looks to be a great place for him.Matz has pitched lights out as well so far this season excluding his first start to the season ironically verse the Marlins. Take that 1.2 innings out of the equation and he's pitched 39.3 inn, 6 ER ( 1.37 ERA ) 2 HR's 42K's, 6 walks. Assuming he brings his best stuff today he as well should be in the game for 6.2 - 7+ innings. I'm going to bank on both pitching according to their indicated numbers and hope that neither pen lets this game get ugly after the 7th inning.
Projection Roark vs Mets 5/25 7.2 inn, 0 ER 9K's, 2 walks
Projection Matz vs Nats 5/25 6.2 inn, 2 ER, 2 HR's, 7K's 1 walk
Game under 7.5 -105
