Wui I would think the public is all over Cleveland because at first glance you see Salazar vs Milone and think it's a huge mismatch and especially with the twins early season struggles. If you look into it Milone has actually had good success against Cleveland so the number is about right at the moment IMO. Salazar has been much better to start the year and he has had good success against the twins, despite losing the last time he faced them last sept. Long story short, even though Salazar appears to have a huge advantage, it may not be as big as the public thinks.
The main 2 reasons I like the play: 1. The Twins loss yesterday at Washington was a devastating one. They absolutely gave that game away with a throwing error on a 2 out bunt. For a team that's struggled to start the year I think that is the kind of loss that can really affect the mental state of the team. On the flip side the Tribe come in off a sweep of Detroit. These 2 teams are in totally different places right now. The second reason is that the twins pen has thrown 17 innings the last 3 games, most coming in yesterday's marathon. Combine that with the fact that Milone hasn't gotten past the 5th in 2 of his first 3 starts and it's not a good spot. I'm siding with the better pitcher so far this season and the team that's in a better spot right now.
