FRIDAY RECAP:
4 PLAYS for FRIDAY:
1* Tampa -110 WINNER
Tampa is 15-5 in their last 20 games, winning 6 straight coming into tonights game. Davis is 3-0 his last 3 with an ERA of 2.11 and Tampa's Bullpen has an ERA of 0.66 in their last 7 games. In his last 15 starts he has allowed 3 earned or less in 12 of those starts, while Hughes has allowed more than 3 earned 6 times in his last 15 starts and Hughes has an ERA of 5.19 in his last 3 starts.
1* Minnesota -190 WINNER
Minny is 30-20 at home, Seattle is 15-36 on the road. Baker for the Twins is 6-4 at home and Fister is 2-4 on the road. The last 7 games Minny is averaging 8.6 runs per game and Seattle is averaging 3.0. The Twins are 7-3 their last 10, Seattle is 3-7 their last 10. Baker has a home ERA of 3.90 and Fister has a road ERA of 5.74 and 5.94 in his last 3 starts.
2* Houston Over 8.5(-120) LOSER
Houston is 6-3-1 Over in their last 10 and 7-4-1 Over since the Break. This will be Happ's first start since becoming an Astro and only his second since coming off the DL. In his 1st start he went 5 innings and gave up 3 earned and walked 4. I think it will take another start or two for him to get used to the new surroundings and get back in form. I expect another short outting from Happ tonight and Houston's Bullpen has a home ERA of 4.37. The Brewers send Parra to hill and 4 of his last 5 starts have gone over. He has a road ERA of 6.84 and in his last 3 starts it is a whopping 8.82 so expect to see the Brewers pen and it's 5.55 ERA over the last 7 games. Milwaukee is also 6-4 Over their last 10.
1* San Fran Over 7(+100) WINNER
Lincecum is 13-7 Over this year. He faced LA on July 20th and gave up 5 earned in just 4.67 innings. If he struggles at all the Frisco Bullpen will come into play and they have an ERA of 5.95 over the last 7 games. Monasterios for the Dodgers has a road ERA of 8.00 and in his last 3 starts has an ERA of 7.71 and he is 3-1 Over in his last 4 starts. LA is also 43-32 Over in night games.
I finish the week going 3-1 +60 on Friday which gives me 6 consecutive winning days. I hit with Tampa Bay beating the Yankees, Minnesota getting past Seattle, and SF/LA Over as they scored 11 runs and LA still left 9 on base. I did lose the 2* on the Houston Over as there was only 5 runs scored. When I capped that game I capped Parra allowing 4 runs (which he did), Happ allowing 3 runs, and the Bullpens allowing 3 runs. Happ who was in his first start for Houston since being traded and only his second since coming off the DL pitched EXCEPTIONAL allowing only 2 hits and 0 runs in 6 innings while striking out 6, but he did walk 4. The normally dangerous bullpens pitched outstanding as well going 5.67 innings and only allowed 4 hits and 1 run. That Loss brings the 2*'s to 6-1 the last 6 days. I am now 20-7 +1670 over this 6 day run and 240-230 +2165 on the Season. I look to keep it going this weekend, finishing July on a positive note and starting August with some momentum. Time for me to get back to work on Saturday's card. I'll be back at 11:30am Central with Saturday's plays and stats. Have a GREAT morning everyone.
