Being on the right side is more important then being on the right line.
I was talking about this last night. The odds I bet are generally poor. The line movement goes against me a lot more than it goes in my favor.
The fact is, I don't care too much about the odds. Of course I would like to have the best that I can get, it just does not happen.
Different bettors have different mindsets. Some look for value, others play it safe with the aim of "not losing" & then you have me. I aim to win. I realize that I don't bet good lines all the time. In MLB my odds are garbage quite often. It doesn't bother me though. My mindset is on finding a winner & so I don't worry about the odds too much.
Some people love to "beat the closing line". The fact is, beating numbers doesn't pay. It does if you are on the right side of the game, but beating the closing line does not mean that it was a good bet. It's not enough to beat a closing line.
No one is getting rich from beating closing lines.
Pinnaclesports.com has an article about beating the closing line. They tell you that it is how they can separate the good bettors from the bad. Apparently that the odds you bet are more important than the results you produce. I don't buy it! Winning is more important than beating the closing line.
Think about this.. Maybe the opening line was a bad bet to begin with.
Your mindset is important. Every thought that you have contributes to the manifestation of energy that your life is sculpted with. Be careful what you aim for, you just might get it.
