Backing teams with snubbed pitchers went 3-1 on Tuesday night, the first night after all-star pitchers were announced. The winners included the Reds with Johnny Cueto, the Cubs with Jake Arrieta, and the Indians with Corey Kluber. The lone loser was Texas with Yovani Gallardo. I passed the Indians' contest for two reasons: 1 - Kluber's won/lost record isn't going to get anyone selected to an all-star roster, but his actual numbers are strong. 2 - the price on the Indians was priced correctly and the only time I'll lay a 170 is if I believe the line ought to be at least 25 cents higher. The second reason is the main reason I passed Cleveland.
Clayton Kershaw, like Johnny Cueto is a snubbed starter who may get in due to the "Final Vote" which wraps up on Friday afternoon. I did play Cueto on Tuesday evening, but laying nearly $4 is not something I wish to do, even with Kershaw on the mound. I also don't want to lay -145 on a RL.
