Teddy had the Yanks last night and they had a 3-0 lead, but the pen really blew it in the end.
Teddy wan't talk about the emerging trend at Petco, that has seen much more high scoring games than in years past. This has been the lowest scoring stadium since it opened, but that is not the case anymore. Balls are just flying out of this park right now and the Pirates hit 3 of them last night.
Scott states that Petco is playing many overs, while Wrigley has been the opposite with their jumbotron causing many Unders this year. Baseball is backwards right now. LOL The jumbotron is blocking the wind and has turned out to be a big impact on handicapping those games.
On of Scott's rules in handicapping baseball is to look to the Under or stay away when a lefty takes the hill in his first ever MLB start. He had the under last night as a freebie in the game between Boston and Texas, as southpaw Edwardo Rodriguez made his MLB debut. He pitched very well in that game and it did go under the total.
Nick Martinez also pitched well for the Rangers, but his advanced metrics indicate that he may be headed for a regression.
