The Twins are the top money making team in MLB, while the Astros are 3rd and the Mets and Rangers are tied for 6th. If you bet those 4 teams in every game this season then you would be up over 40 units just betting 1 Unit a game.
at the beginning of the year the Mets may have been expected to be on that list., but no one could have predicted that the Twins would be atop the AL Central, the Rangers would be a solid money maker and Houston has really surpassed expectations as well.
The Rangers are getting the money because they have been winning as big dogs and they have been made big dogs thanks to their weak starting pitching. Same with the Twins. Both teams have good hitting lineups but weak pitching has kept them as big dogs for much of the year.
Teddy also states that he feels the Astros are not going away, because they have solid pitching, especially in the pen and their big bats are producing plenty of runs.
Scott feels that both Houston and the Mets have the best chance at keeping up their good play this year over the other two teams. He feels hat they can because of their pitching, but also states that the hitting of both the Mets and Astros can be their downfall of them this year. He will stay away from the Mets and Astros when those teams take on top shelf pitching, while he will look to play on Texas & Minnesota or the Over when those teams takes on suspect pitching. He will look to play those situations or just stay away from the game.
Teddy states that just 2 teams last year (the O's and the Angels) produced more than 11 units of profit at years end, so keep that in mind with these teams that are producing a ton of money right now. There will be ebbs and flows on all these teams this year.
Scott likes to look at maybe fading pitchers or staying away from the ones that have a solid ERA, but their WHIP is rather high.
