Good morning Pregame! Last night: 2-4, -2.29 units. This is getting ridiculous. Let's see, a pitcher with a 7.7 ERA shuts out the highest scoring offense in the National League. The lowest scoring offense in the American League - by a mile - scores 5 runs. And they commit 3 errors and still win easily. Not to mention that twice in the last 4 days, pitchers that have historically been shelled by their particular opponent go and throw gems. Why even bother looking at the numbers? Today, I'll look at last night's results, and whoever won last night will lose today. Seems as good as any other method. Seriously, for a game that is so numbers oriented, they can't be trusted when handicapping games. Anyway, here is a sampling of plays today:
Washington -1.5
Pittsburgh -1.5
San Diego ML
All bets today are 1.2 unit bets. I want to take the Mets and the Royals, but they both won last night, and in KC's case, the numbers would heavily favor them. Geeze, I know that sounds stupid, but that's about what this has come to.
Season: 64-90, -12.66 units.
