Game 2 of the world series went to the Royals, which now evens the series at 1 game apiece.
One thing that Dave learned last night is that you may have a perception of a managerial edge in a game or series and be dead wrong, at least for one night.
Dave didn't like any of Bochy's moves last night, and he felt that Ned Yost outcoached him. A big thing that Bochy did wrong was misuse his bullpen last night.
Ned Yost did an excellent job at getting Ventura out of the game when he did and overall used his staff better than Bochy did.
In their last series the media and everyone were talking about how Buck Showalter was far superior over Yost and yet the O's got swept in tat series. Now coming into this one was all the talk about Bochy being superior to Yost.
How Much of an edge do coaches give their teams, because Bochy won't hit or pitch for hist team and neither will Yost.
Dave still feels that coaches do make a difference at times. He feels that Yost, who loves to play the small ball will hurt him at sometime in this series. Yost is still not a good tactical manager
As far as handling the Pitching staffs, Yost clearly did better last night.
