I followed the podcast best bet tonight - taking the Astros in the first 5 innings against Texas.
I just figured it was one of those games, where Ranger hits found all the holes, though softly hit, and Astros just could not catch a break - no matter how many base runners they had and how hard they smacked the ball with runners on base.
But then comes the bottom of the fifth trailing 2-0, one out and nobody on. Atulve gets a single. Carter draws a walk, and the bases get loaded on dribbler infield hit that Fowler beats out by an eyelash. Then comes Castro who has been mired in a long slump, though they note he's begun to hit the ball hard, and on a 2-0 count he launches a grand slam to right, which he absolutely whacked and there was no doubt --- SO SWEET! Just like that - going from losing 140 to winning 100.
Good to have after the best bet on the Brewers went down last night to a ninth inning homer with a 1 run lead.
I'll take it this one. Nice to know some dramatic finishes go your way. :)
