Marlins Park, Miami, Florida
Although these two teams have identical records (53-54) They have been polar opposites since the all-star break; Cincinnati is 2-10 including a streak of seven straight losses, losing 4 straight series. Whereas, the Marlins are 9-4 including a streak of 6 straight wins, winning 3 out of 4 series.
When these two teams face off in Miami tonight, it will be the Marlins who are the Underdogs. Why? Maybe because the Reds have owned the fish winning 7 of 8 including 5 in a row and 4 straight in Miami. Most importantly, Reds ace Johnny Cueto will be on the mound tonight. The way I see it even if Cueto is dominant, all Tom Koehler (7-7 3.91) has to do is keep it close.
Yesterday Cincinnati made Wade Miley (6-7 4.14) Look like Clayton Kershaw. Miley blanked the anemic Reds offense for 6.2/3 innings it wasn't until Az depleted bullpen came in that the Reds were able to score 4 runs; the most runs they've scored since the all-star break.
The Marlins know all about close games as they are league leaders in 1 run wins with 24. In addition, they are playing with alot of confidence coming from 6 runs down on Monday to beat the Nats 7-6. They almost did it again on Tuesday scoring 2 in the bottom of the 9th only to come up 1 run short. I like the odds with the home dog here, the Miami Marlins+110 (action) is my pick Best all!
