Since we have plenty of time, I'll try to share the process. This is the first thing, then check weather/pitchers and make a total. It starts with instinct for me, then actual work.

Friday, July 18, 2014
TEAMS OPEN       MY LINE/TOTAL PITCHERS
Cincinnati at NY Yankees -108/8.5

Reds -115 8.5

Leake vs Phelps
Milwaukee at Washington -158/7.5 Nationals -145 8 Lohse vs Strasburg
Colorado at Pittsburgh -144/7.0 Pirates -150 8 De La Rosa vs Liriano
Texas at Toronto 100/8.5 Toronto -115 7.5 Darvish vs Dickey
Cleveland at Detroit -157/8.5 Tigers -150 8 Bauer vs Sanchez
Kansas City at Boston -125/8.0 Boston -130 8.5 Shields vs Buchholz
San Francisco at Miami

-125/7.5

Giants -145 7.5 Bumgarner vs Eovaldi
Philadelphia at Atlanta -144/7.0 Braves -145 7.5 Burnett vs Santana
Houston at Chicago White Sox -148/9.0 White Sox -140 8  Feldman vs Quintana
Tampa Bay at Minnesota -115/7.5 Tampa Bay -125 8 Cobb vs Gibson
LA Dodgers at St. Louis -115/8.5 Haren vs Undecided
Chicago Cubs at Arizona -130/9.0 Arizona -140 8.5 Jackson vs Cahill
Seattle at LA Angels -135/7.0 Angels -135 7.5 Iwakuma vs Weaver
Baltimore at Oakland -170/7.5 Oakland -145 8 Tillman vs Samardzija
NY Mets at San Diego -125/6.0 Padres -135 7 Colon vs Kennedy

Quick notes and knee-jerk reactions.

Reds get a DH. All time IL Winning %: Red .443 NYY .603

Washington not as effective V.RHP (W/L) and Strasburg a ton of pitches.

Pirates 6 of next 9 games against Colorado. Rockies healthy (sort of). Jorge terrible on the road.

We like Dickey with the roof open. Better for knuckle ball. Yu more vulnerable on the road.

Which Trevor Bauer are we going to see. 6 straight 100+ pitch games.

Buccholz looked good at Houston. Royals limited exposure.

Bumgarner the public choice. Fish better v/LHP. Fish RL possible.

Santana regressing to the mean and Phillies always play Braves tough, even in Atlanta.

Feldman under value w/ability to keep the ball down. Q is getting back to good. Under worth a look.

Gibson just not backable right now. No consistency. Rays pen figured it out.

No chance of backing Cahill at home. Cubs or nothing coming.

Iwakuma might have the value, even on the road. First thought Mariners RL.

Have to think w/Tillman, Samardzija, bullpens, big park, it stays under.

Two weeks ago would San Diego be favored over anyone, even w/Kennedy.

Of any big win we have had, or winning streak, or even coming out of a losing streak, of this I am most proud:

Some forum posters have broken into the industry and have achieved moderate success while carrying themselves with professionalism and integrity. Dave Essler, of the pick-selling site Pregame, immediately comes to mind.

I still want to know if all these people on Twitter and Pick-Selling sites claim to have beaten up books for years, I would think there would be no places left to place wagers.

Good work, beat me to it.

Here's Friday's early weather predictions. I very quickly went through totals, without regard to juice, just as a reference point.

My pleasure. It's easy when you have 96 hours to do 24 hours worth of work...........we do it every day.....finding the time to put it here is another story. Appreciate the feedback, D.

Shit man go play some golf or something

You want a handicapping tip?  Spend as much time getting a good number as you do researching games. Depositing/withdrawing/depositing/withdrawing is a pain, but I guarantee you will lose less, or win more.  I can't guarantee that for any other piece of advice

Shit man go play some golf or something

Soon enough, Lloyd. When I sell my other business late next week. Or, when I just write a program written to spit out the right answers with as few variables as possible. Until such time, I am doing "imagery" on what my 160 yard, into the wind, 7 iron swing needs to look like. Handicapping myself :)
