Going for our 5th straight Game of the Week Winner as we look to extend a 22-9 GOW run. Sabermetrics and home/road dichotomy take center stage on Friday as we isolate OUR ONLY QUALIFYING PLAY. After cashing on the diamonds Tuesday & Wednesday we only earned a split yesterday. It's time to increase that GOW record on Friday.
961 Washington at San Diego
Two good young hurlers on the mound on Friday as runs may be hard to come by based on the 6 1/2 run total. While we can surly see the reasoning we think we may have some advantage in the side. Tanner Roark has been the unsung hero of this Washington pitching staff, led by big names like Gonzalez, Fister and Strasburg, he's definitely overlooked. When he tires the Nationals trot out an outstanding relief corps to shut down the opposition. Offensively the Nats are heating up in a hurry. Although they did just face the putrid Phillies we like the way Washington is attacking the strike zone. The players are feeling good about themselves right now which is dangerous for a team as talented as the Nationals. This is a good price for the visitor.
