MLB: Chicago White Sox at Kansas City Royals - WhiteSox (Danks/Greinke) +140Game Date: 7/3/2009 Note: One could almost say that the Royals are being steamed as this betting line has moved steadily upward since the Get Go and this play can be had as high as +148 at some books as I peck out these thoughts. And why is that? Because Greinke "The Wonder Boy" is pitching. His games have seen this same kind of result over his last 8 to 10 pitched and perhaps with good reason, as he has been solid as can be. However, he has not been as sharp lately and the WhiteSox thrower is having his best stint of the year. Danks as allowed just 6 runs over his last 4 starts. He is in a VERY GOOD SITUATION tonight facing the Royals who have been lefty handicapped and are 2-9 verses them this year. KC is beginning to figure out that they are not a good team. They have won just once here at Kaufman the last 9 times they have played here. They have lost 11 of 15 regardless of where they have played. We all know how hot the Chicago Squad is, so I will not bore you with that and during this streak I have bet them more than once. I think that I will do it again! Chicago is hitting the ball. They are playing great defense. They are getting very good starting and reliever pitching. They are winning games. And....they are HUGE DOGS tonight. What up with that?

I like this bet Greg
Its hard to bet against Greinke
However, looking over the lineups it looks like there are a few White Sox players who have a pretty good handle on Greinke

MLB: St. Louis Cardinals at Cincinnati Reds - Cardinals (Pineiro/Bailey) -121 | Unit Value: 2 Unit "Best Bet"Game Date: 7/3/2009 Note: There is one thing that I almost never do, and that is lay this kind of number on the road. It generally is not wise, but I do think it is tonight. The Cardinals thrower tonight has been magnificent this year and as of late, even better numbers. His last start was not but prior to that this guy has been on the ball. His team has not given him much run support though but that is probably going to change tonight. Bailey was highly touted when he came up from AAA a couple years ago. He can be tough to hit but his control problems are well documented. He has one of the worst K/BB Numbers that I have ever seen and this year it appears to be worse, allowing 13 Free Passes in 9.1 innings of work. He just can't afford to do that with this Cardinal Lineup and low and behold, he has not performed well verses them. Bailey is 0-2 with a 14.73 ERA in two starts against St. Louis. The Cardinals are hitting .441 against him, including homers by Ludwick, Rick Ankiel and Albert Pujols. He actually had his best effort the last time out but runners were all over the bases with 7 BB's given out. That is not going to get it today. Stl is getting better with their Pen of late and they are in their best hitting posture tonight facing the rightly. I think they will get the job done. As an added note, the Reds are 1-10 the last 11 times Bailey has started on the Hill. The Reds are getting pounded and this line has dropped considerably.
