Ok Guys I have let this thread run wild for the last 24 hrs before I decided to jump in and comment. To me it's almost funny hearing some of the things you guys are saying. The outrage that someone is asking to be paid for his expertise. Is he a Pro Capper or Isn't he?? Let's look at the whole picture.

 

Bookie Bill Is he a Pro Capper - No he is not but he has access to information that you don't. That makes his information and knowledge of that information very valuable as he has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt with the winning information that he has shared with everyone for months.

Is Pregame holding a gun to your head to buy Bookie Bill - No we are not this is America you have choices if you think Bookie Bill's information is valuable buy it if you don't think it's valuable then don't buy it.

Is Bookie Bill still providing Free Content - Yes each and everyday.

Is Pregame a non profit organization - No we are a business just like any other business that has overhead ( I can personally tell you I like RJ & I like you guys but I ain't working for Free..lol ).

I have been here at Pregame since the beginning and I have been in this Business for 30 years so I have seen everything there is to see in this business. There are different types of people or customers in this business.

The Non Pick Buyers who just exchange info - Pregame Forums is for you. You can post your plays and see all the other Free Plays from other Posters and Pro Cappers giving stuff away. There is no obligation to buy anything it's all Free.

Pick Buyers looking for Help from Pros - Maybe you don't have the time to handicap on your own or maybe your not having a good season picking on your own we have a stable of Pros and betting experts that you can buy.

People just trying to learn to be better Cappers - Many of you are learning how to handicap on your own. The forums is a place to exchange information and knowledge. We provide stats (Pregame Cheat Sheet) we supply injury updates (Pregame Wire) we provide handicapping shows (Sports Betting Preview Podcast) all to help you become a better handicapper all for Free.

To make statements that Pregame has gone tout or isn't fun anymore is insane -To be insulted that someone wants to make money for information that you can't get is not fair. Hey would you go to the grocery store and just keep eating the free samples for months and not expect the store owner to ask you if you like those samples so much why not buy a box and take it home with you. 

Anyone in the Forums a Mechanic - RJ and Me need some work done on our cars and since that is what you do I would like you to do it for free. Now how insane does that sound? Experts deserve tobe paid for their work.

C'mon guys you get so much stuff for Free here and I'm talking quality stuff don't be grudge anyone making a buck. If the person has done a good job and deserves to be paid pay him if not you have the choice.  No one is forcing you to buy anything. I can tell you there isn't a better site out there for the kind of information you get from Pregame and most of it's Free!

 not to offend anyone, but sometimes I wonder if Bookie Bill is real or just made up, I mean anyone can put name on Twitter and fire away......if the plays do well then u have new 'pro'......if not ,nothing lost...........after all there has been debate on Stan Sharp  ..........just the jaded cynic in me.......GL all

u can run a bussiness 1 of 3 ways.

u can run a bussiness carelessly and haphazardly with a low grade attitude, that is stop, pop, get ur money and go hoping that new clients or suckers will replace the old clients that have come to realize ur a second rate bussiness and have gone elsewhere  

u can run a bussiness with all efficiantcy, effectiveness, knowledge and integrety, that is as honestly as a bussiness can be run  . 

u can run a bussiness on comprimize that is get enough of the job done to make it passable where quality carries a minimum standard

what is pregame? its a bussiness

is pregame being run on one of the above? well all i have to go on is the work ethics i employ in my own bussiness

the only reason i started my own roto rooter bussiness was to earn a better living then i was making at the time. i found that if u want steady customership u better care about what the customers needs FIRST. i use only the best tools, the best equipment, and the best replacement parts. i dont mind going the extra mile and sometimes more to make sure MY customers get the maximum result from my work. as far as quality goes iam second to none. my customers put their trust in me and thats why i dont mind going the extra mile for them and my customer know this and appreciate it. i get the job done right and when their hard earned money crosses over into my hand my customers know its money well spent period  

the more the merrier? mmm i dont know. i guess it can be a good thing sure. nothing wrong with "something for everybody" and at the same time u can have too much bussiness and not enough help or to much help and not enough bussiness. it depends on how much of a headache u want to take on but either way theres no substitute for quality and integrity, none. when i call a plumber up to one of my jobs to do work that iam not equipped to do i dont call someone out of the book i call someone i know, trust and have delt with on numerous occasions. someone whom iam not afraid to leave my customers in the hands of. someone i know is going to get the right job done.  thier work standards better be just as high as mine. u make me money, i make u money dont cut it with me. i need to know who it is iam dealing with before i place the trust and vaulnerability of my customers into someone elses hands. notice i used the word customers and not the word "jobs' because my customers are more then just jobs to me.

should bookie bill be allowed to walk on the set and be given a full green light? i dont think so. but when nick 'the bookie killer' parsons hired on it was without an 'appreticeship' i bitched about it and was openly assured that he was throughly screened,  tracked and interviewed  before he was given a spot here at pregame and that his background credentials came up as excellent. ok fine but not with my money. but after some time had passed and he had been here a while it was found that nick had a legitimate product.

bookie bill has a daily tweeter thing whatever that is and has displayed his selections on this tweeter thing. i guess he's pretty good cause no one has come on here with a negitive report cocering his wins and losses. but i would like to see him come in here on a thread for the sole purpose of fielding questions from the members of this board who would like to know more about him. his backround,  his experience, what kind of knowledge he has, approach to handicapping, betting, money management, recordkeeping ect. i dont care who the guy is,  u may know all u need to know about him but iam sure there are a number of people who'd like to know, ask and hear some of these things for themselfs. i think its fair to the board as a whole

 on a thought that opie and player expressed. i think it would be a pretty good idea to seperate the paid handicappers from the the nonpaid handicappers. have 2 divisions, thread catagories for baseball basketball and football 1 division, thread catagory for paid cappers and 1 division for nonpaid handicappers. like player said its getting to be no fun no more

Sawastea - Bill certainly is allowed to post, but from VR has said he's never been on a forum in his life - so I think we'll be looking a daily tweets and a weekly blog recap of the book's action. We are not even going to try to teach him how to actually post the blog or load the picks (rather, one of the Pregame staff will be loading).

 Pregame is a business and has the right to charge/operate as they seem fit.  However--If you look at the posts in forums it seems as less and less are made by non-pro cappers. (Not official just my perception)

Good Luck to Bookie Bill hope you succeed-- just not with my money.  (3 months is a very short tracking period)

What would be a HUGE help is the tracking of pro's record over the course of a year.  JD does it and I am sure he can show Pregame how to get it done here.  Long term results would weed out the weaker cappers but I for one would be willing to pay for the stronger ones.

This has been a question and issue for the last year.  There is a software program that can track or calculate this and not sure why it has not been addressed.  My IT guy would be more than happy to help out the powers to be at Pregame to get this implemented.
