Why we like the White Sox RL on Tuesday at +105...there is a lot to like about this White Sox team tonight and we will first start by talking about their most recent pick up, Francisco Liriano. This is an interesting game for him being that he is facing the team is was just traded from and will be pitching in his old home park. When Liriano was with the Twins, he showed success in his home park meaning he will come into tonights game being comfortable with the mound and all surroundings. Liriano will be facing players that have never seen him before which should play well for him. He has shown overall command progress over his past few starts, allowing just 15 hits, 5 walks and 27 K's through 16 innings of work. The Twins will be pitching Nick Blackburn who will have his work cut out for him tonight. Blackburn has a 9.00 era over his last 15 innings of work where he allowed 25 hits, 4 HRs and just 4 K's. At home, Blackburn is posting a 7.90 era where he has allowed 52 hits through 35 innings on 8 HRs, 11 BBs and 18 Ks. This is a White Sox team that has seen Blackburn twice already this year including his most recent start. They have combined for 14 runs through 9 innings and 4 HRs off of Blackburn. This Sox team has a combined 239 ABs off of Blackburn with a .331 average and 8 HRs. Offensively, the Sox are averaging 6.6 rpg while allowing 3.7 rpg over their last 7 games while the Twins have been averaging 6.4 rpg while allowing 5.4 rpg. The Sox have won their last 5 of 7 games with each win coming by two or more runs. Look for the pens to play a factor tonight with the edge going to the Sox with their 3.23 road era compared to the Twins home era of 3.86. A trend to consider for tonight is that the White Sox are 18-7 on the season with a total of 9 to 9.5 while the Twins are 17-24 with a total of 9 to 9.5. Look for the Sox to take their record to 8-3 against the Twins this season. We will play on the White Sox RL at +105.
