yup- my bad Dave, still hungover after the heat game last night down here in Miami.

my apologies Dave

LOL. I DO make those mistakes (and I have no drinking excuse!) all the time. I still remember No Limit giving me shit about that three years ago, and he was right!

Of any big win we have had, or winning streak, or even coming out of a losing streak, of this I am most proud:

Some forum posters have broken into the industry and have achieved moderate success while carrying themselves with professionalism and integrity. Dave Essler, of the pick-selling site Pregame, immediately comes to mind.

I still want to know if all these people on Twitter and Pick-Selling sites claim to have beaten up books for years, I would think there would be no places left to place wagers.

"other" stuff at the moment:

I'd love to find a way to take the Mariners, perhaps the RL, against Hudson. He's been terrible at home this season. If the Mariners' pen isn't too used tonight, and if we think Ramirez can give them five (Arizona hasn't seen him) then that's an option.

Harang coming off a 118 pitch game and McCarthy being a stud, I have a fairly strong initial lean to Oakland in that one. Especially if Cespedes plays.

I've heard that "undecided" guy for the Blue Jays was pretty solid in Las Vegas (AAA affiliate) so even with Marcum going against his former team (yes, he pitched for Toronto) we lean to the "kid"......

OK, back to Central Florida and Akron for a minute. B-Watson says Akron will suck. He might be right, but how many points is enough to take a home team on TV on a weeknight against a team that has to play Ohio State the following week? Dunno yet, but UCF does return 8 of 11 starters from a defense that was 9th in the nation in points allowed, but they didn't win a road game and really didn't play and prolific offenses. And they did lose CB Josh Robinson to the NFL (3rd round to the Vikings) However, Godfrey is a year older with two full seasons under his belt, and I suspect they'll just try to use their size advantages on the line and run Harvey and Murray all night long.

But, the Zips offense behind returning QB Clayton Moore just cannot stretch the field. They had exactly one pass over 50 yards all season last year, and he is simply not a rushing threat, and of course took 34 sacks as well. Akron only returns six starters on defense, which cannot be a bad thing since they allowed 38.5 points, or were 116th in the nation in points allowed.

These two teams played three times in the early 2000's and Akron won two (all three ATS). I cannot discount Terry Bowden and what he's done, and will clearly take the points and/or the under. OK, back to the matter(s) at hand, but it's a #grind breaker and there will be more.

Anytime I see an Essler pOst, it is the very first one I open. Nowhere else can we get this deep handicapping info compiled together for a quick read. Much better than opening up 10 web pages. Cuz I DO have kids and I DO work 40 (at least) hrs. If Essler were to ever leave Pregame it would be like missing a book out of an Encyclopedia set (no exaggeration, D)

A game day bump. I know I do these earlier than most people want the info. It works for me (usually). Johnny has made us one of the discounted Pros for the next whatever period of time (it all runs together when you get old(er), and it IS a reasonable/affordable way to get our Premium plays. I've done the math, but not as well as Llyod would have.
