This is a Terrific Daily Thread GF. Stuff that matters not just fluff. Much appreciated..

i had done a bunch of browsing through the forums before settling on packages but GF def knows his baseball.. keep up the daily threads their great

<Cubs starter Matt Garza has been basically lights out in his 2 starts this season. Both starts coming at HOME for him & he is coming off a "high pitch count" of throwing 119 pitches his L/start, tossing 8 2/3 shutout innings over the Brewers, yielding just 3 hits & sports a 1.23 ERA and sickening 0.75 WHIP so far this season.>

<Garza has been hit hard by Florida since 2009, he is 1-1 in 3 starts, with a 7.07 ERA & a 2.14 WHIP.>

<Current Marlins are hitting a robust .328 vs him with several extra base hits, to sport a .974 OPS.>

<Garza struggled on the ROAD last season: 14 starts, 4.56 ERA, & 1.46 WHIP, and a batting avg against, 46 points higher than when pitching at home. This poor pitching on the ROAD trends back to his L/3 seasons too, as he is 14-20, with a 4.54 ERA & 1.36 WHIP.>

<Marlins starter Mark Buehrle has pitched 2 solid games this season, only to be 0-2 due to the Marlins struggles at the plate early on. He has walked just 2 batters in 12 1/3 IP and has had decent command of his pitches, opponents are hitting .313 off him early on.>

<September is the only month that Buehrle has worse ERA and WHIP numbers other than April since 2009. Buehrle, 17 starts, (6-8) with a 4.35 ERA & a 1.32 WHIP.>

<Buehrle has 3 starts vs the Cubs since 2009: 1-0, 2.55 ERA & 1.25 WHIP.>

<Marlins bullpen has the 4th best N.L. WHIP 1.12 and also has a decent 3.00 ERA (clearly closer Heath Bell needs to get his act together & did get a save last night.)>

<Cubs bullpen has been hideous, as they rank last in N.L. bullpen ERA 5.72 & they also sport the 3rd worse N.L. WHIP 1.62.>

Great stuff as always GF. Would you agree that a higher humidity will slow a baseball down? Also if the level is very low and the temperature is as well, those baseballs will fly further. Wind is a factor as well. I always look at the weather when handicapping Totals. GL today buddy

Warm(er) weather couple with WIND and humidity absolutely effects the carry of the ball. Thanks for the words and continued success to you buddy.
