Scott and Pauly Preview 4 MLB games from tonight's card.
Pittsburgh Pirates vs Cincinnati Reds
The Pirates are getting the money, after getting blownout last night. Scott doesn't like Lorenzen at all for the Reds in this spot, as he has an 8.84 ERA in his last 17.33 innings of work. He feels this is Pittsburgh's turn to deliver a blow to the Reds, as Cincinnati has dominated this series here of late.
What bothers Scott the most about Pittsburgh is that they are not looking to make a big trade at the deadline, but he does like the Pirates in this game. For Scott it is the Nats or nothing here.
Washington Nationals vs New York Mets
The Nats are getting the money here and Scott feels it is a wise move. The Wilmer Flores fiasco a couple of days ago may have a lingering affect for a couple of more games on the Mets psyche. The Mets are also just 6-8 in Matt Harvey's last 14 starts and he has walked 14 batter in his last 4 outings.
For Scott it is the Nats or nothing here.
Kansas City Royals vs Toronto Blue Jays
Scott is thinking about playing against Cueto in his first start for the Royals. Hutchison has been horrible on the road this year for Toronto, but at home he is 7-2 with a 2.21 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP. He has allowed just 3 Hrs in 57 innings at home and those numbers overall are better than what Cueto has done on the road this year.
The public is heavily on the side of the Royals, but Scott likes the Jays in this one.
Arizona Diamondbacks vs Houston Astros
The Astros are off an emotional series vs the Angels, so it is important for them to stay focused here. De La Rosa has been a mess on the road this year and he allows many homers, which is all the Astros hit.
Houston sends Scott Feldmen out tonight and he comes in with horrible numbers at home of late. Scott feels that both offenses will score their fair share of runs on this one. It's an over play for score.
