You are attempting to give your side of things without a million exclamation points or capital letters so I appreciate that, it's just really hard to swallow when this has been 90% of my handle for 5 years and it's been extremely succescul.  I have beat soccer for four years and I still couldn't tell you every position on the field, but according to you, picking off numbers does not work. I think we're going to just have to agree to disagree.

OK one last comment....now youre throwing Soccer in there. I dont bet it mostly because it is probably the most rigged sport there is next to Tennis (worse than Boxing I imagine also). Worse even than NCAA basketball also which is probably manipulated in some way or another more than half the games played in the season. So if there are moves they are obviously made for a reason. So I would say that in soccer moves are more likely than not to be very good.

Like I said each sport has moves made for differing reasons, I try to focus on the professional ones where (you hope) the manipulations are fewer and further between. But that also goes the other way because not all 'fixed' games go to plan either. But again another topic for another thread.

Agency watchdogs have surmised that ~1% of soccer matches are "rigged" and most of the fixing that goes on is "spot fixing" not  "match fixing."   It gets headlines so people think it is worse than it really is and it mostly happens in high liquidity markets coupled with low income players.  Snooker has more fixing going on than soccer.

I trade soccer all day, every day and have put on thousands of trades and thought that fixing may have occurred a few times, once for damn sure, but that is it.

When I first started, I was trying to be like a weather forecaster. Taking the conditions of the circumstances and trying to predict the outcomes. But if you're a meteorologist and you can't figure out what's going on, maybe it's not the best thing for you. Some of you seem to be able to just look at a game, figure out who's gonna win/cover and apparently it works out for ya? I tried to do that, didn't work out for me.

So I decided to look at it like I was a stock speculator or investor. I assumed that the final prices were the most accurate and reflective of the market and I tried to figure out where the line was gonna go. So if my assumption was correct and I could get the best of the number then I could make money. I tried the forecasting thing for a while, I wanna see where this strategy takes me for a longer stretch. I'm just gonna play it conservatively for right now and wait for that wave that I was talking about.

Y'all seem pretty knowledgeable about this stuff, I wish I could give u guys a random call when I'm looking over these matchups and talk strategy. Just to pick your brains.

Winners care about picking winners.  People who want to make excuses for losing say "well I got a good line!"  Ok go up to the window and say "I lost but got a good line" and see if they pay you.

It's just a strategy to pick winners tho. It's just a matter of grinding out edges longterm vs attempting to pick each game correctly. Some people decide if they get a good bet by asking "did I win or not?"...some decide it's a good bet by asking "did I get good value on it?"
