Didn't have enough time to cover all the bases on the show. So -- here are my thoughts on my radio play of the day. Henderson Alvarez makes his second start for the Marlins since coming off the D-L. He didn't look too hot in his first and now faces a lineup that's had success against him. Chris Davis, Alejandro De Aza, J.J. Hardy, and Adam Jones are hitting a combined .415 against the Miami right-hander. Ublado Jimenez will counter for the Orioles. The Baltimore right-hander is having a tremendous start to the 2015 season, posting a 1.03 WHIP with 38 strikeouts in 40 1/3 IP. He's been outstanding in his last two starts, striking out 15 batters, walking just two, while allowing four runs in 14 innings of work. Miami has dropped seven straight games, including four in a row in the ridiculous experiment, also known as the Dan Jennings managerial era. They're also on a 0-8 slide at home. I'm recommending a play on the Orioles on Friday.
