A new item has joined the daily betting board - exhibition baseball. My advice is stick with basketball. Don't get involved with baseball until the games mean something next month.
Back in my sportswriting days, I interviewed various baseball managers and players at spring training sites in Florida and during exhibition games in Las Vegas asking them what they thought of people betting spring training games.
I remember Davey Johnson saying that's crazy when I told him there were lines out on baseball exhibition games. Larry Bowa and others expressed the same thought.
Managers told me winning isn't the bottom line goal during spring training games. The goal is to get ready for the season, which means plenty of experimenting. For example, they may have a player bunt when the situation isn't appropriate just because a player needs to practice it.
Many veteran don't take the games that serious. Their goal is getting in shape. Same with pitchers. This is their time to build up their arm strength and try different pitches and techniques.
There can be enough randomness during the final seconds of basketball games. I certainly don't want to invite more of that by getting involved with meaningless spring training games.
I am on a 32-16 run on my last 48 premium plays and have a Two for Tuesday NBA Sweep going today. It can be found here: /pregamepros/pro-bettor/bettor.aspx?id=7746#capper, along with my packages, which include my 7 and 30-day packages that are slashed 20 percent through Thursday.
As always, no bad luck!
