  • Friday NBA from Tony George

    Lakers -3.5 to -4

Line shooting up,  but still bad news for Knick Backers.  The Knicks two best weapons are out, Mello and Stoudemire.  Usually on a 5th game on a road trip from an opposite coast team like the Lakers, off an OT game the night before would be an AUTOMATIC go against, but with the Knicks running at about 50% of their strength with both playmakers out, this is a spot where LA can go with back to back wins on a road trip.  The backcourt of LA is better, Bynum and Chandler a wash and the frontcourt of NY is outmatched here. LA playing some solid defense too.  Doubt they take the night off.

    Play on LA

  • Like the play a lot Tony! Always appreciate the freebies. I'm on it as well. The Lakers are the better team and are healthier. Plus, Pau and Andrew seem to be hitting on all cylinders right now, and Kobe is always ready for the Garden. Have a great day

    GO LAKERS!!!  Go DODGERS!

  • Gasol had a great game last night.  I think overall the Lakers are starting to buy into the new system.

They need a solid shooting power forward and some depth but as stated in this one, they outmatch the Knicks....and Bryant, as usual, the best player by far on the floor.

  • What the Lakers need the most, by far, in my opinion, is a Point Guard (and depth at point also). Their point guard play is the Achilles heal of the lakers. That, and they don't have the bench that they used to have. Definitely need bench depth as well if they will make any noise in the playoffs. Thanks for the reply Tony!

    GO LAKERS!!!  Go DODGERS!

  • The damn Clippers have 3 pg's that are better than any pg the Lakers have.

    GO LAKERS!!!  Go DODGERS!

  • Yeah floor general is an issue....They have 3 solid players overall....Point guard is weak...you see Kobe allot just take over and play 2 roles...rather see him coming off screens and getting more open looks other than drawing double teams with the ball....a good floor general would be a huge inhancement..Blake is not the answer...   Anyway it is not the Lakers of old.
