Costly turnover by Miles Turner in the post, with a chance to tie the game last night. OT = new ball game.
Tuesday, January 24 NBA:
DOUBLE PLAY: WIZARDSS +½ -120 for 1st HALF $150 to win $125 |
FADE THE PUBLIC PLAY OF THE DAY: WIZARDS MONEYLINE -103 $225 to win $218.45 |
DOUBLE PLAY: BULLS -1 -105 for 1st HALF $150 to win $142.86 |
Revenge spot for the Wizards, in which case they are 17-7 ATS. 4-5 ATS on b-2-b games. Celtics a perfect 7-0 as a small road fave. Public backing Celtics today.
Will wait to make a possible 2nd Half play on the Suns. Minnesota generally plays well in the 1st Half and remains to be one of the worst 2nd Half team in the league. Suns, like the Heat, are playing with some gusto at the moment.
Teams that need to learn how to defend the fast-break (looking at you Chicago Bulls) need to watch tape of the Milwaukee/Heat game a few days ago. I've been watching the Heat closely and their transition defense is top notch. Johnson is filling in nicely for the injured Winslow; notice that Derrick Williams doesn't get as many minutes anymore.
All of a sudden the Cavaliers look like they cannot repeat. They do need another play-maker to start and move JR to the bench for 6th-man scoring. But LeBron needs to chutdafok up because he should have taken a 5 million pay-cut so his team can buy a "f------ playmaker". They are capped to the hilt for the duration of his contract. Trade deadline coming up -- will be interesting part of the season for some teams.
My season-long mojo forecast shows some problems for the Raptors in the 2nd Half of the season. They are suited to make a deep run in the play-offs though; highly improved offense with a decent defense -- best at causing turnovers.
Just some thoughts.
