This is really all the Knicks have to offer...Besides Jennings these 4 players will need to pick up the slack as well. Expect an uptick from each of these guys in the stat categories. I'm not sold on these guys filling in for the starters if an injury occurs to one of the Big 3. Solid pieces though i feel for the Knicks coming off the bench. I think these 4 guys all buy into what Jackson and Hornacek will try to do. They all play tough and getting a solid effort from each guy on a nightly basis will prove to be good for the Knicks in the long run. Jennings needs to carry the load though. I fully expect one of the big stars to be on the court at all times. Bulls did it with Rose and Butler last year, I won't be shocked if Jennings and Rose split some minutes to keep the core guys healthy with a punch from Rose coming back off the bench. Overall, I kind of like the Knicks bench, but I would rate them as one of the weaker benches due to star power.

My Prediction : NY Knicks
When I look at the overall makeup of this Knicks team I see it happening two ways. They will be a disaster or they will flourish into a very good team. Number one reason the Knicks turn into a disaster is injuries. Between Melo, Noah and Rose they have missed a ton of time over the last few seasons. If the injury bug hits this team, they don't have enough depth or talent to make a push to a winning record. If the injuries are short in time, the Knicks with the talent they have can overcome a injury. If two of the Big 3 go down for an extended period, it's all over for the Knickerbockers...Another reason the Knicks will collapse is the fact that they just don't mesh well and Melo goes off on his own and plays 5-1 basketball. If either of these two occur early in the season or mid season, the Knicks won't even win 30 games.
The Knicks can be successful however if they mesh from day 1. That's asking a lot with all the new pieces, but I believe this team has been assembled to accentuate each other. The Knicks needed to address a few areas. They addressed almost all of them. Scoring was a big concern, but rebounding and defense made the top of the list. Those issues have now been addressed and if they can all do what they are expected to do, the Knicks will be a force in the East.
When you look at this team we have two new players from the Bulls in Noah and Rose. I got the indication last year from watching the Bulls that the entire team didn't buy into what Fred Hoiberg was selling...That Bulls team was build on what they played like for years with Tibs. A rough and tough team who put defense first. They played a much slower pace and the Bulls had some flash with a Butler and Rose combo. That all seemed to go away last year, because Hoiberg ran a much different system those guys couldn't adapt too. I really feel strong this is a great place for Rose now. He has been getting healthy and mentally he seems dialed in and focused on the game again. We saw plenty of the old D. Rose last year who had that terrific MVP season. I really liked how he took control of the offense at a pace that suited him and his teammates. Hoiberg didn't seem to like it much, but the Bulls played much better the slower they played. The Knicks will play slow this year for sure. Bringing in Courtney Lee and Noah will be a big boost for the defense. Noah just like Rose will adapt to this style of play. Noah was all banged up last year, but he will be healthy and kicking again. The Knicks really missed having a motivator on the floor. Noah brings that and he can rally the troops when things get tough with his intensity. Noah can pass the ball and rebound as well. I think he is going to make some big strides this year and he and Rose will look like the guys we remember from a few years ago. As for Porzingis he is another year older in the NBA. He is a franchise player and his skill set can make him a superstar this year. He is a matchup nightmare for almost any player on the court. Melo should like this team IMO. With how good he can score the basketball, combined with defense and length. The Knicks bring a decent team to the table and I feel strong they can hit a stride in every area.
Phil Jackson is a very wise NBA guy as we know. He lacks on the depth chart with this team, but I feel it's for good reason. If the Knicks can get it together early in the season and they are making a push, Jackson will pull the trigger on one or two guys come trade deadline. He has saved a ton of cash and they will be able to spend and attract some talent with a viable team. This will only make the Knicks stronger as the playoffs approach.
Overall I think the injury bug will not be a factor. I think these guys will all enjoy playing in New York and they all compliment each other very well. They have the right guys to get the job done in almost every area. Success is on the horizon for the Knicks this year.
My prediction - 45-37 / OVER 38.5 Season Wins.
