Just don't see it. Dubs have the better team, better coach and home court. LeBron's awesome- will be rooting for CLE. Just think they're a bit over matched.
*full disclosure, I barely watch the NBA*
Match up wise, OKC ability to get out and run in transition seemed to be a large part in playing GSW so tough- warriors were unable to rely on their "death" lineup that was small and could just maul teams offensively because:
A.) OKC (Westbrook in particular) is basically impossible to stop in transition
B.) OKC bigs were eating that front alive on the glass and in the paint
MAYBE Kyrie can get out in transition and cause similar problems? I know he's a really quick guy, will Cleveland go to that? Thompson is a big dude- but he can't stretch the floor and isn't as athletic as Ibaka..
Then on defense- does CLE run lebron on curry all night? If so- does he get gassed chasing that guy around all night long taking away from his own offensive production? I know everybody wants to point directly to Curry's knee for his downed production, but chasing around Westbrook all night definitely plays a part in that.
Personally- That's probably what I would do if I was coaching the Cavs. I would try my best to keep LeBron on curry and if everybody else goes off then so be it. I guess that and switching screens with a guy like Shumpert who is long enough?
Fortunately for CLE- they were the 3rd best rebounding team in the NBA (OKC was first) and that seemed to be a big boost for OKC in the series and helped to keep it close.
Anyways- just some of my initial thoughts. Would love to hear more of what others think.
