Saturday's NBA schedule provides 10 games for our enjoyment. Here's are some thoughts on a couple of significant games.
Detroit will be at Indiana -3.5 (0.5 unit) tonight in a game featuring the current 7th and 8th place squads in the Eastern Conference. They rate pretty evenly according to the FSI and the home court edge pushes the Pacers into a -4 FSI figure, slightly better than the current spread.
The marquee matchup tonight will be OKC +8.5 (4.5 units) at Golden State in a prime-time ABC televised game. No surprise that the Warriors are favored, but the FSI figures it should be by 4 points instead of the big 8.5 point spread. The Thunder are too good to be getting this many. Even against the mighty Warriors.
FSI went 5-5 Friday to bring the season total to 289-313-11 ATS (48%). Saturdays picks and FSI spreads below:
Pick (units) FSI Spread
POR +5 (4 units) HOU -1
CHA -4.5 (2.5 units) CHA -7
IND -3.5 (0.5 unit) IND -4
CLE -10.5 (3.5 units) CLE -14
PHI -1.5 (1.5 units) PHI -3
DAL +6.5 (0.5 unit) MEM -6
CHI +3.5 (5.5 units) CHI -2
SAS -15 (7 units) SAS -22
UTA -5.5 (4.5 units) UTA -10
OKC +8.5 (4.5 units) GSW -4
BOL, players!
