Adam Silver is looking to change the NBA playoff format this year. They will start seeding teams 1 through 8 in each conference based on record. The spurs last year were a 6th seed, which shouldn't have happened.
Dave also wouldn't have a problem if they started seeding teams 1-16. That would eliminate eastern conference teams getting into the playoffs with under .500 records, while Western Conference teams have much better record, but don't get in.
The East stinks every year and you always seem to have a team get in the playoffs with an under .500 record. If we had the new format this year the Spurs and Clippers would not have played in the first round. The Spurs really had a tough draw.
Dave feels that the NBA and MLB have good commissioners. Next the NFL and NHL have to change things up.
