Thanks Farmhouse. Whether we agree with the claim that they're elite in our eyes, they are elite in offensive & defensive efficiency ratings, no two ways about it. They owned a 109 rating on offense and a 98 on defense this past regular season. Again, while our eyes may say something else, the numbers don't lie. At the very least, saying it's laughable would be denying how well they have played. Saying they don't meet the eye test may be the better way of putting it.
As far as saying Steph Curry is careless with the basketball and makes bonehead mistakes might be going too far, also. Curry is 9th in assists per game in the postseason. He's averaging 3.6 turnovers per game in the playoffs. John Wall was the top assist-man per game and averaged 3.9 tpg. LeBron averages 4.4 tpg; James Harden 4.5 tpg; Isaiah Thomas 3.5 tpg; Derrick Rose 3.2 tpg; Blake Griffin 3.2 tpg. Only Chris Paul, JJ Barea, and Jeff Teague average less than 3 tpg in the postseason and none of them are still alive in the postseason. I love a good debate -- but let's remember not to fire out misleading statements without the numbers to back them. I mean that in all due respect. You may be right...maybe the Cavs are just too strong up front for GST. Certainly possible. And LeBron is the best basketball player in the world. He always gives a team a solid chance. But I had to clear up those numbers. Thanks for tuning in and responding. Much appreciated.
