Last weekend was CRAZY! The crowds were over whelming, and it was just packed. Here are some tips that have served me well in Vegas on such weekends:
1. When coming into town from the South, exiting Frank Sinatra drive is HUGE. It takes you past the back-end parking lots of Mandalay Bay, Excalibur, Luxur, and Monte Carlo, then connect to Industrial which you can take all the way up to go to Wynn/Circus etc.
2. NEVER park at MGM. EVER. Best bet parking on most weekends isTropicana just East of Strip and walk over the Sky Bridge.
3. The Desert inn Arterial IS the way to get from the East to the West Side of the Strip. Rio to Westgate Hilton in 7 minutes. If you are at Wynn/Encore you can access the D I East by going towards Encore Parking and U turning, one of my favorite shortcuts.
4. When going to Aria, I park at the Monte Carlo. It's much easier.
5. Valet will often tell you "Valet is full". $10 will almost always secure you a spot. $20 on the Strip on a crazy weekend.
6. The Mono Rail is rarely your best travel option. By the time you walk all the way back into the Casino Bowels to find it, you could have just cabbed it.
7. The Golden Gate Valet is often my 'go to' spot Downtown for parking, as there is almost no wait to get your car.
8. The Ellis Island has a great hole in the wall Coffee Shop and Barbeque. A great 'go-to' spot when all the pricey restaurants are over run.
On the capping front, let's run with one more Free Play Wednesday today:
