In Today's Big Conversation, RJ Bell and Teddy Covers discuss whether or not NBA players should play international ball.
Paul George was playing an international league game and suffered a devastating leg injury, that will most likely have him out for next year. That begs the question, should NBA players participate in International ball?
The Pacers were 20-1 before the injury and now they are 60-1 to win the title, so is the risk of having these players play in international leagues worth it? Teddy feels the Pacers are done this year now without Paul George.
The Dream Team for the Olympics was created because the U.S. was tired of not winning gold medals. Teddy states that it really doesn't happen all that often to say that we should stop playing international ball.
The NBA as a league knows that putting these players on display in this games is a huge boost for the league, but NBA GM's are not happy with their players plaing through the Summer months and not getting their proper rest or possibly getting injured.
RJ States that from a players individual development is really helps to be around the best players in the league. In this case the Injury bug bit George, but still Paul George stated that playing around some of the best players in the league was a huge help for him.
Teddy also feels that still there are too many NBA games that players do need their down time as well.
