Aces I want nothing else and what makes you think I might. I am responding or typing in the various threads as I don't see how anyone can support Sterling or try to find reasons to say the Commish over stepped his authority is all. I was personally surprised at the severity of the punishment but I agree with the action and if that has bothered you it wasn't intended.

WHY are people looking for EVERY possible way to defend Sterling without coming out and saying it??? Racism is TOXIC it is a habitual lifestyle that is not acceptable at all and needs to be eliminated! Especially in the NBA which has a player base that is 80+% black!! A DUI or an assault is surely a mistake/ error in judgement, but racism is a habit, an internal disease that is simply intolerable. It is nothing short of PATHETIC that people are attempting to defend Sterling, and I have no problem saying that! WAKE UP!!!

i dont care what any of u people think...what he said in the privacy of his own home or on the phone should be his business and nobody should have to worry about being recorded by someone else.....i live in southern cali and grew up with every race but i can tell u that often i come home and say what a stupid nikka i ran into today or dumb oriental, etc....what pisses me off worse is that if this was a black owner, this subject would have been over with in 2 mins...double standard and whites are constantly giving in.....

I've been waiting for someone to cry "double standard". Another cop out excuse to defend Sterling. Skills what you are describing about your life certainly sounds prejudiced which is bad but not nearly to the extent of Sterling taking ACTION SPECIFICALLY AGAINST MINORITIES AKA RACISM. I don't care if it was supposed to be a private conversation, it is public now, and therefore it must be dealt with in such a manner. The message needed to be sent that racism is 100% unacceptable.

By the way, when a minority owner (good luck finding one) takes action specifically against white people, then we can have a discussion about how awful he is and I will be glad to join you. Until then, don't bother using the "double standard" argument. A black person calling you a cracker is no different than you calling him the n word. That is prejudice, not racism. Again, WAKE UP.

Dennis how incredibly clever and sharp of you to include "in this instance" at the end of your question, displaying that you are aware of Sterling's racist history, yet at the same time making it appear as though you are prepared to defend him. To answer your question, surely you are aware that he demands that his "girlfriend" does not broadcast her association with minorities. He does not want black people associated with his business. Exclusivity, in this case, is action against minorities, aka racism. Of course, for people like Doc Rivers, Chris Paul, etc., they are ok in his eyes, but only because he is making a ton of money off of their labor. Are you seriously going to try to defend his actions?
