My biggest win easily came last year when put my freshman year tuition ($13,000) on Tebow ML to beat the Steelers @ +335 which gave me ($43,550). Looking back on it that was probably the most retarded thing I've ever done. College is a million times more fun when you have some cash hahaha.
I put a "player" in the wsop circuit event in st. Louis this year.
He chopped a 355 tourney for 35k and the 3 days later won the main event for 190k.
I pulled down 99k for the week.
my roughest poker beat is a friend of mine was at the WSOP and playing the 2k event. he knew i had connects in Vegas and called for 10k saying he would split anything he won on the trip. he was/is better in cards over me, but not that much to possibly eat 10k. i passed. few days later:
The World Series of Poker is clearly more of a marathon than a sprint and the final day of event no. 11 was a clear indication of that. After a long, slow-moving three days of action, Anthony Harb came out on top of a field of 1,646 players.
Harb earned $569,199 for the victory, but was more focused on his accomplishment than the prize money after the final hand went down. “It hasn’t even sunk in that I’ve won over half of a million dollars. Man, it’s all about the bracelet.”
The tournament paid out 171 players and among the notables to go deep were Kenny Hicks (50th), Blake Stepp (48th), Jonathan Aguiar (32nd), Phil Hellmuth (29th), Jose Rosenkrantz (23rd) and Jason Koon (17th).
Here are the final table results:
1. Anthony Harb — $569,1992. Peter Rho — $350,0193. Jim Geary — $230,6704. Adam Adler — $161,7685. Jonathan McGowan — $116,8336. Adrian Dresel-Velasquez — $92,8677. Scott Hall — $76,3908. Michael Dyer — $65,9059. Brent Sheirbon — $59,315
Funniest part is on one of the breaks, he went up to his room and smoked a joint. Came back down and won 500k.
Him and half of the poker room. The Rio is like Amsterdam durin the WSOP. Some of those "TV" players are the biggest potheads I know.
maybe that is why most end up broke, lol. another friend of mine won the 1k event the year Jamie Gold won the Main Event. in the interview they asked what meant more, the bracelet or the money. he said the bracelet, because he would be broke in a year. he was broke in 8 months.
boys , i still have copies of those $25,000 checks i sent everyone.
