The Good:
Basic Strategy Zigzag in play here. The Thunder just got destroyed Game1 +6/+6.5. However, now they are getting +7.5 (+8 in spots) in a great bounce back situation off a blowout loss. Given this, an investment simply must be made at +8 it would seem.
The Bad:
You don't make money betting against the New England Patriots. Similarly, you don't make money fading the Spurs, especially at home, especially at home during the playoffs. The Spurs (like the Pats) do all the little things right, making it very difficult to find + EV (expected values) betting against them. Given this, we have to downgrade our Okc bet size big-time (and have me wondering why I didn't upgrade my 2* Spurs Game 1 bet -6 to 3*).
The Ugly:
The last 4 okc/SA playoff games
SA 124 92
SA 122 96
SA 112 77
SA 117 89
Wow. Do we really want to step in front of that freight train? I have gone from making a good sized bet on okc, to a small pizza bet, to maybe a pizza slice. Small sample, but after 4 straight beat downs, I have to feel there are better investment opportunities today.
We invest WITH CONFIDENCE in an NBA best bet on the Atl/Clev game, and we have a bonus 2* MLB best bet as well!
