As we all know, Doppler is the beloved Sea Storm mascot who does his Doppler Dance with kids every 4th Quarter at Storm Home Games. Last year, there was little to dance about, as Sue Bird started to show her game, and Sea struggled mightily.
Fast Forward to 2015, and what a difference a year makes. One game in, and Sea BOMBED Phx last night in preseason, a team who had beaten them 5 times last year, ALL FIVE in blowouts. Taurasi is sittin out for the year for Phx, but Griner (7 game suspension for domestic violence with her spouse Glory Johnson) played.
Sea's No1 pick Jewell Lloyd shined, and she is sure to be a star at guard to compliment Bird. Avoid Lloyd in your WNBA betting. Further, the no3 picks Mosqueda Lewis got into the act a bit, and all expect the forward from U Conn (no3 pick) who isGREAT from 3 to be a great addition.
Their Center Langhorne was picked up last year, and simply did not have enough help. I expect a bigger year this year.
The jury is still out, but with Taurasi out for the year, Big Girl Center McCarville out for the year for the Minn Lynx (a team lacking in depth), who knows. Maybe Doppler will be dancing deep into the playoffs.
On the handicapping front, the NBA has been solid as we moved to 161-111 for the year, however we did hit our first MLB losing streak. That streak stops TONIGHT as we bomb in a game I LOVE, my 3* MLB game of the month! In addition I will include my full NBA report for game 5 as well.
Let's Roll!
