Rams Players Have Been Told Linehan will be Fired on Monday

The Rams players have already been informed that Scott Linehan will be fired on Monday.

As I said in my NFL Whispers column this week, I was told that Rams head coach Scott Linehan would be fired this past Monday. The team decided to wait until tomorrow because they have a bye week after playing Buffalo. However, I'm told the players have already been told that Linehan will be fired on Monday, win or lose. Tory Holt and Marc Bulger have been irate with Linehan because of the way he's handled the team. Apparently, after Bulger was benched Holt took his displeasure to the higher-ups in the Rams organization. The star receiver was told that Linehan will be fired on Monday and Bulger would be reinstated as the starting quarterback after the Rams bye.

I originally picked the Bills on the Sports Betting Preview Show because I didn't think the Rams players would put up much of an effort today for their beleaguered coach. However, if the players already know he's going to be fired tomorrow, it could change things. The bottom line is the players already know that win or lose, Linehan will be fired on Monday, so perhaps we see a more inspired performance by the Rams today than what we've seen so far this year. These players don't respect Linehan at all and haven't been playing hard for him. Let's see if that changes today now that they've been told he will be gone on Monday and Jim Haslett (another idiot) replaces Linehan.

  • apparently they couldnt wait until monday

  • The question now is who's next?.......Marvin or Marinelli?  My money's on Marvin.
