For those of you who missed it, underdogs went a perfect 8-0 against the spread in Monday's NBA, NFL and college basketball games. The odds of that happening randomly are 256/1 according to Pregame President RJ Bell. One Forums member picked up on this trend following the early NBA games and bet the Memphis Grizzlies +13 on the road against the Phoenix Suns. Many members of the Pregame Community were also on the San Francisco 49ers as double-digit underdogs, and they came up just a few yards short of pulling off the straight-up upset. However, the most unlikely underdog to cover on Monday was probably the Presbyterian Blue Hose (no joke), who stayed within seven points of the fifth-ranked Duke Blue Devils in the second half to cover the 35-point spread in an 80-49 loss to open the college basketball season. Two dogs won SU as the Portland Trail Blazers (+7) beat the Orlando Magic 106-99 and Georgia Southern (+6) upset Houston 65-63.> Get Matty's Triple Dime NCAA Underdog Game O' the Year at Pregame Pros!
I can HONESTLY Say I've NEVER SEEN That Before!
Matty has a great eye for sports betting patterns.
Funny thing is the Washington Capitals kept it from being 10-0 including NHL. Congrats to everybody who cashed those dogs.
I would have to thank VR for the Washington pick ;)
After the public killed the NFL, I figured the NBA lines would be shaded some.......shoulda just played all 5 NBA dogs last night for 1 Unit each blindly.......
I think the true odds, if I may interject, are 1792 to 1, as there are 6 days other than Monday when this may occur, multiplying that 256 number by 7........
So you're saying it might not happen again in a while LOL
Actually when I look back to yesterday's card, I had a lean in all dogs, which was pretty scary, but I decided just to take Portland +7.
If I had the guts to have taken all of them, I would have hit the jackpot!
Who is everybody's top underdog pick today?
