The Memorial is a great event and it is one of those Tour stops that has that "next best thing to a Major" feel. The Masters is probably my all time favorite and Jack Nicklaus' too - and what he has created here at Muirfield Village was done with Bobby Jones and The Masters in mind. But Jack didn't mind The US Open either and The Memorial has a little bit of US Open test in it too as Driving Accuracy and Greens In Regulation figure more into the winner than they do at Augusta.
Some interesting facts about The Memorial..
In 2013 it was the 6th hardest course on Tour.. and it is a beast with a rating of 76.9 and a slope of 153.
Since 1976, 24 Major winners have won The Memorial.
Of all the events on Tour, The Memorial has the least amount of winners by playoff - three.
Ernie Els has played The Memorial 20-times. He has won once and only missed the cut two times.
My Free Pick in a Head to Head Match Up for the entire tournament is..

Thank you all for your continued support. Don't forget about my daily baseball plays as we have had a nice week, going 12-and-8 heading into Thursday's card.. and of course, we are less than 100-days away from NFL Football getting underway!
Enjoy The Memorial and have fun,
