Based on the facts that I have heard, Phil Ivey used his Brain to win at Baccaret, beating Borgata by turning the Odds in his favor when Dealers agreed to put cards into the show "backwards" based on his request. This gave him the edge.
What's funny to me is that Ivey's edge was likely way lower than many of the Games Borgata routinely deals to players!
Further, the Casino provided the cards, they dealt the cards and when Ivey asked for them to put the discards a certain way they agreed, no problem. Now the HELL Is this "cheating"???
It would be like you go wager the Rams OVER 7, and ask the Casino to buy a 1/2 point for 10 cents, and they give it to you. Or you are a dice controller, and ask the Casino if you have to hit the back wall, and the dealers say no.
THEY provided the cards. THEY dealt them. It's really the same as a 21 dealer exposing his hole card. If the player isn't using an illegal device to read it, it's clearly the Casinos responsibility to protect the game.....the player IS allowed to use his eyes and his brain when he plays!
Am I the only one who is shocked the Borgata is suing??
