Online books? or Find a local bookie? please help

Hello fellas, I've been using personal bookie through a runner and this runner had such a bad credit with his boss(the bookie) and got fired and my account with this guy has been shut down... all of a sudden I don't have a place to bet anymore and i was thinking if i should deposit in to online sportsbook. But Im not a quite fan of online sportsbooks and never really tried before. I really prefer weekly credit from a local bookie. Can someone help me find one here in los angeles area or should I just go with online books?

    Goes without saying..online book.

There are many here at pregameaction.com

I prefer BetUS as my main one, but I suggest accounts at 2 different books to shop your lines and have more options.  Payouts are slower than a local guy, every Tuesday or whatever, but then again you do not have to worry about getting stiffed on your account or being standed with no place to play.  I am sure LA has thousands of local guys with shitty lines on west coast teams, go online buddy!

Do you bet alot of dogs, Tony? Just curious because you said you preferred BetUS. I hate that book because I would go and try to bet a football game at -14 and they would have -16. Great book if you like dogs, otherwise I'm not so sure.

I bet dogs in hoops and football allot as well as underdogs in MLB....I have to be careful here because I do not know what RJ has for book offereings but another place to bet dogs ESPECIALLY in football is Sportsinteraction, out of Canada...Monday Night football more times than not if the line is -3 everywhere, you can get +3.5 or +4 almost nine times out of ten, and perfect if you like the dog and getting them off a fall number is huge! I gues those dudes in Canada just like hammering the favorites.....

I use Bet US, 5dimes, use to use Bodg allot but kinda cooled it alittle with them, and also Sportsbook.com

Those are my main ones and betting favs at 5 Dimes is always the best line for favs it seems...

Cool, thanks for the response! I use sportsbook.com but I've heard very good things about 5 Dimes...

Good points...5 Dimes is low cost lines in bases...I use them allot GF...

Also another good point..local bookies do not have to ante up...they can walk..you can turn them in, and incriminate yourself.  Now if you owe them money thats a different story.  Why screw around with them, ???? ....plus 99% of their lines are totally bogus as they try to balance their OWN action, and their lines are rarely, if at all, a true reflection of the real lines you can get and shop elsewhere.

CLEARLY offshore books are a grey area with the Feds, but by far a better bet for guys who wanna place bets and get paid over the long haul.

ANOTHER THING - With offshore books or Vegas books you have to use disipline, you are not wagering on credit, you can only wager what is in your account....a better form of self disipline where you do not over extend yourself playing hunches or chasing losses.  Plus I have never known a reputable offshore book to stiff anyone out of 10k in winnings like this poster admitted to......you have no recourse.
