Less than a month after being bouned from the Stanley Cup Final, Marian Hossa has decided to join the Detroit Red Wings. Sources tell TSN that free agent Hossa has signed a one-year, $7.4 million deal with the Red Wings.

That's a great move for Detroit, BTW Stars just signed Sean Avery.

 Lots of cash for Hossa in the salary-cap era.  I guess the Wings are really going for it again.

They need 2. I read that they do not show a profilt until they make the 2nd round of the playoffs.

Maybe one year the Wings will face the Blackhawks in the western finals. I will take the Blackhawks as they play well against them. The Wings just spend money on the right players just like any good franchise would. They really shocked me how well they did in the Cup. Adding another good player should put them back in the finals.
